This fruity, bubbly sipper is the perfect way to ring in spring. Muddled strawberries, vodka and sweet, floral elderflower liqueur are shaken until cold, then topped off with a healthy pour of prosecco.
Ingredients
- 6 ripe strawberries, plus more, sliced, to garnish
- 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz. vodka
- 1 oz. elderflower liqueur (optional)
- 1 ½ cups prosecco or sparkling wine, divided
Steps
- Hull each strawberry and slice in half lengthwise. Add strawberries and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle until the berries release their juices.
- To shaker, add vodka and elderflower liqueur, if using. Fill with ice, cover and shake until cold. Fill two large wine glasses with ice, then strain mixture evenly into each.
- Divide prosecco between glasses and gently stir to combine. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices.
Tips
For a non-alcoholic version, skip the vodka and elderflower liqueur and top each glass with sparkling water or lemonade.
