Perfect for an Easter treat with the kids, this fun dessert combines cookie “dirt” and strawberry “carrots.” It’s a playful, chocolatey snack that’s great for little hands and big smiles.
Ingredients
- ½ (12 oz) pkg white vanilla candy melts
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tsp orange liquid food coloring, as needed
- 8 whole strawberries
- 15 chocolate sandwich creme cookies
- 2 (13 oz) pkgs chocolate pudding snacks
Steps
- To a medium microwave-safe bowl, add the candy melts and oil. Microwave in 30-sec. intervals for about 2 min., stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Add a few drops of the food coloring and mix until no streaks remain and mixture is orange.
- Holding the leafy green part of a strawberry, dip each strawberry in melted candy, using a spoon to coat until covered. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
- To a large resealable bag, add the chocolate sandwich cookies and coarsely crush using a rolling pin. Remove the lids from the pudding cups. Spoon a thin layer of crushed cookies into each cup. Place a strawberry “carrot” in each cup and top with more crushed cookies. Serve immediately.
