This sweet and smoky appetizer uses several pantry staples, including Town House® Original Crackers, and is so easy to make. Serve as a snack at any get-together.
Ingredients
- 12 slices Nature's Promise ® Uncured Bacon
- 32 Town House ® Original Crackers
- 3 tbsp Nature's Promise ® Maple Syrup, divided
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ tsp Nature's Promise ® Cayenne Pepper or sweet paprika
Steps
- Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment and set a wire rack inside.
- Cut the bacon slices crosswise into thirds. (Each piece should be about 3¼ inches long.) Wrap each cracker with a piece of bacon, folding the ends under. Place crackers on wire rack, seam-side down.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 tbsp maple syrup, the mustard, and cayenne. Brush cracker tops with maple-mustard sauce. Bake 1½ hours, until bacon is golden brown. Remove from oven. Brush with remaining 1 tbsp maple syrup. Let cool slightly before serving.
