Perfect for weeknight dinners, these quick and easy seafood burgers make a delicious dinner of any white fish fillets on hand. A fast celery slaw adds crunch to this grilled meal.
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 3 medium celery stalks
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced, divided
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tsp Old Bay ® Seasoning, divided
- ½ lb raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb white fish fillets, such as tilapia or cod
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- 4 hamburger buns
Steps
- Lightly grease grates with the cooking spray. Set grill to medium. Thinly slice the celery stalks, including any leaves. In a medium bowl, combine celery, ½ tsp lemon zest, 2 tsp lemon juice, mayonnaise, and ½ tsp seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a food processor, pulse the shrimp, fish, egg, and remaining 1 tsp Old Bay® seasoning until finely chopped and well blended. Transfer to a large bowl. Add the green onions and season with salt and pepper. Mix until combined. Form the mixture into 4 (¾-inch) patties.
- Grill patties 4–5 min. per side, until lightly browned and cooked through. If desired, lightly toast the buns on grill for 1 min. Place seafood burgers on buns and top each seafood burger with celery slaw.
