Rich and creamy with flavors of chocolate, coffee and whiskey, this festive homemade Irish cream is perfect for cozy holiday sipping or gifting to loved ones.
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup skim milk
- 2 tsp instant coffee or espresso powder
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups Irish whiskey
- 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp almond extract
Steps
- In a heatproof medium bowl, microwave the skim milk 30 sec.–1 min., until warm. Stir in the instant coffee until mostly dissolved.
- In a blender, pulse the coffee-milk mixture, condensed milk, cream, whiskey, chocolate syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth.
- Transfer mixture to bottles and/or jars and seal. Keep refrigerated up to 3 weeks until ready to serve.
